Layer Delamination

Layer delamination occurs when the card's paper layers begin to separate - most commonly at edges or corners, but sometimes in the card face itself. This is one of the more challenging repairs because it involves actually re-adhering card layers.

Delamination can occur between any of these layers, but most commonly happens between the core and the printed layers.

This technique uses tacky glue to re-adhere separated card layers. It's called "poke paste" because you literally poke tiny amounts of adhesive into the delamination.
